Route to Human Rights

publicidad roteMultidisciplinary project, unique in the world, devised and developed by International Solidarity for Human Rights, an NGO whose mission is education through the arts of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The project consists of the installation of 30 works of art, created by 30 internationally renowned artists, inspired by each of the articles.

The Venezuelan artist Jorge Dager was one of the chosen ones representing Article 1 of this Declaration: “We are all born free and equal in dignity and rights.”

For this important project, he moved to the fields of Miami Dade College where for a period of two months, he made the LIBERTAD Work whose composition focused on a foal that runs fast on a beach in the early hours of the morning. The artist used large scaffolding to work on the large dimensions of the work and used Oleo as the only means to capture his art.

Given the curiosity of many attendees, there were some talks with the Artist, with the art teachers of Miami Dade College.

Later the Work was unveiled in the amphitheater of the Miami Dade and was given to Jorge Dager a special recognition by this work.

The LIBERTAD Project will be located in a Human Rights Pavilion or Gallery built by the ISHR Foundation on the grounds of the Miami Dade College North Campus, a large 5,000 square foot gallery.
